“Representation really is so meaningful,” creator Gloria Calderón Kellett previously told Deadline. “And for Latinos, especially right now. There is a graveyard of wonderful Latino shows this past year that we have seen go away and to be able to continue this story of you know, Mexicans, Afro Cubans, queer people, all finding love all loving each other." Calderón Kellett also noted that “while the show is a rom-com, it’s really about righting the wrongs of not seeing ourselves in this space. Falling in love, having joy, thriving, that we really need to see. So that was in everything in the show.”

Fans can look forward to an extra episode come Season 2. While the first season had five episodes, the second will consist of six.
Who is in the With Love cast?
Season 1 starred Emeraude Toubia and Mark Indelicato as the Diaz siblings, Lily Diaz and Jorge Diaz Jr., respectively. Their family was played by Isis King (Sol Perez), Constance Marie (Beatriz Diaz), Benito Martinez (Jorge Diaz Sr.), Renée Victor (Marta Delgado) and Pepe Serna (Luis Delgado). The cast also included Rome Flynn as Lily’s love interest Santiago Zayas, Vincent Rodriguez III as Jorge Jr.’s boyfriend Henry, Desmond Chiam as Nick Zhao, and Todd Grinnell as Dr. Miles Murphy. Girls5eva star Busy Philipps’ eldest child, Birdie, had a non-binary recurring role, playing Dr. Mile Murphy’s child, Charlie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Toubia, Indelicato, Flynn, Chiam, Rodriguez, King, Grinnell, Marie and Martinez will return for Season 2.
What will happen in Season 2 of With Love?
Once again, the upcoming season will “follow the Diaz family’s relationship drama and love stories over the course of a year, with each episode taking place in the midst of a life-changing milestone or celebration,” according to Prime Video. Calderón Kellett revealed to Deadline in 2022 that Season 2 will focus on a wedding, and every episode will “cover a day chronicling the events leading” up to the big day. So, who is getting married? Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger after Lily and Jorge’s grandmother discovered an engagement ring. Guess we’ll have to wait and see who might be getting engaged!
