Yes, and the two-minute preview sets up the premise of what will unfold in the upcoming episodes. As the trailer’s description notes, “Survival hangs in the balance for the group of teenage girls stranded on a deserted island, after the explosive discovery that what’s happening to them is an elaborate social experiment. This season ups the drama and keeps you guessing, with the introduction of more test subjects—another island of teenage boys—who must also fight for survival under the watchful eye of the experiment’s puppet master.”
Is TheWilds based on Lost?
It isn’t, but the show’s creators don’t mind if you think it is. In fact, Harris, who previously produced Sex and the City, previously told Collider that The Wilds’ influences include not just Lost, but also Cast Away and My So-Called Life.
What happens at the end of The Wilds Season 1?

Here’s how Deadline described Season 2’s storyline back in May 2021: “The Wilds in Season 2 will continue to follow the harrowing ordeal of eight teenage girls stranded on a deserted island under mysterious circumstances. The new season will also focus on a new group of survivors, all boys, who find themselves in the same perilous situation. Both groups will be forced to navigate emotional and physical obstacles in the face of their extreme circumstances.” According to Harris, creator Sarah Streicher has “a lot of very strong ideas about where the show [is] going to go next,” but adds that the show’s creative team is “willing and open, once we start building the next portions of the house, to see different things come together.” As for what might even happen past Season 2, Streicher adds, “We do have vignette ideas where each girl will land at the end of this.”
Who is in the cast of TheWilds Season 2?
The new control group means a whole new slate of actors joining The Wilds Season 2. The octet of male up-and-comers climbing aboard for Season 2 include Charles Alexander, Zack Calderon, Nicholas Coombe, Alex Fitzalan, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Aidan Laprete, Tanner Ray Rook and Reed Shannon. The official Prime Video Twitter account found a clever way to reveal the new cast members back in May 2021, sharing a screengrabbed video of in which series star Sophia Ali adds all eight actors to a “TheWilds fam” text thread.
