Kim told Grazia USA that the family needed a break. “Sometimes we just need a break. It’s really simple. We just need a minute to regroup,” she said. “You know, we haven’t had a break for 14 years. We’ve gone in filming a season, then a spin off and I think there’s no other way to say it other than, we just live such big lives. And we have kids now. And they need us.”

But come on, is KUWTK scripted?
No one in the family has actually come out and said that the show is scripted, but it’s been heavily suggested. Court documents from Kim’s divorce from Kris Humphries that were obtained by Life & Style included a deposition from producer Russell Jay in which he said that at least two scenes that featured Kris were reshot or scripted. Kim also said on Ashley Graham’s Pretty Big Deal podcast that she watches and approves of edits for every episode. “I’m not in the actual editing room but I watch every cut and every edit,” she said. “And that, I think, has always been the magic to being ourselves and showing everything, because we know that we could really have a say in it.”
