“That’s the goal,” Witney told Us Weekly. “That’s what I’m working toward. That’s in the plans for now. So if anything changes, we’ll just go with it, but that is in our sights for right now.” Witney went on to say she is currently “chilling until August,” when she’ll hopefully find out whether she has been cleared to return or not. While Dancing With the Stars’ landmark 30th season has yet to be announced, the series has been airing one season in the fall since 2018. So it’s safe to say the show will come back in September, with hopefully a well-rested Witney aboard after her maternity leave. Witney started her reality TV career at 18 when she finished second runner-up in So You Think You Can Dance season 9. She became a standout on DWTS since season 18, when she moved up from the troupe to the main cast. Since then, she took home a Mirror Ball trophy alongside Alfonso Ribiero in 2014. She also made finale night dancing with Frankie Muniz, Milo Manheim, and most recently, Kel Mitchell. Last season was the first one Witney has sat out since becoming a pro, but she enjoyed watching the show as a fan. “I was just eating my food on commercial breaks,” she said, “like, ‘This is so much less stressed than if I were there.’ But obviously I missed it so much, I miss everybody on there as well. I’m definitely ready to go back.” For the moment, Witney has taken to motherhood as easily as she does to a new dance routine. Since baby Kevin’s birth on Jan.3, she has become “obsessed” with the idea of kids, and is looking to have more down the road with husband Carson McAllister. Her son has already been indoctrinated into the DWTS family, as he’s had a playdate with fellow pro Lindsay Arnold’s newborn daughter last month.
