Good Witch is a Hallmark Channel series that follows Cassie Nightingale, the owner and proprietor of Grey House, a B&B in the town of Middleton. The series is a spinoff of a series of movies of the same name. The original movie premiered in 2008 and spawned 11 sequels plus the television series. Cassie is a descendant of Meredith and Nathaniel Merriwick, the founders of Middleton. What can we expect in Good Witch season 7?
As the series renewal was just announced, we don’t have any details about the upcoming season, but we have some pretty good guesses! Spoiler Alert Now that the curse has been broken, one can speculate we’ll see either a wedding, a reconciliation and maybe even a new romance. If Adam (Scott Cavalheiro) returns to Middleton after his mission, will he and Stephanie (Kaylee Evans) get back together? Will romance blossom between Joy (Katherine Barrell) and Carter (Jason Diaz)? We’ll also find out what the mystery is with the satchels each of the Merriwick sisters received anonymously. Cassie’s had some dirt in it, but it was never revealed what Joy and Abigail had in theirs and what they are for. And last, but not least, we’ll hopefully find out if Cassie and Sam finally find a hobby they can enjoy together!
Why there was no Good Witch Halloween special in 2020
We had our fingers crossed that Hallmark Channel would find some way to make Halloween special for The Good Witch in 2020. The movies been fan fall favorites since the first one debuted in 2008. Catherine Bell was hopeful back in May when she told Media Village that they were “set to start shooting in August.” But that didn’t happen. In August, TVLine reported that there wouldn’t be a 2020 Halloween movie.
What happened in Good Witch season 6?
A lot, actually! In season 6, we saw Cassie and her husband, Sam (James Denton) adjusting to life as empty nesters. The overarching story was Abigail (Sarah Power) and Donovan’s (Marc Bendavid) quest to break the Merriwick-Davenport Curse that kept them apart, which spoiler alert they did! Abigail and Donovan got engaged in the season 6 finale. Does that mean we’ll see a wedding at the end of season 7? The show also teased a possible romance between Joy and Carter, the carpenter who helps Joy with the renovation of Tinsdale Manor.
